Hershey Gardens

Today we went to Hershey Gardens! What a great place!
We went because there was a Flower Fairies event.
We had been to Hershey many times but we have never been to the gardens.
The flower fairies event was really fun! Belle got to make a fairy wand and a small garden to take home to attract fairies.
Then we had a map and had to follow the garden paths that led to secret fairy doors where
we then got a fairy card and a little token(flower petals, gem, acorn, etc) from that fairy.
It was steaming hot, we were all really sweating!
Then it started to rain, and that felt really good!
We also went into the Butterfly house and got to see hundreds of beautiful butterflies!

This is a birdhouse I took the girls picture in...

this is Belle with one of the fairy houses...

this is the Daisy fairies house...

and this is one of the pretty butterflies in the butterfly house!
We had a great day...
I love summertime!

The super star!

This weekend Belle had her first dance recital!
She didn't know what to expect, but I think she loved it!
Her dance was to the Lilo and Stitch song
"Hawaiian roller coaster ride"
She wore a pretty yellow bodysuit, hula skirt and a lay.
When her group(5 three and four year olds) got on stage they just stood there and stared at the audience.
Needless to say everybody clapped because it was the cutest thing ever!
When she was finished and I got to see her the first thing she said was
"when can I go on stage again?"
So I think this was the first of many recitals to come,
and I'm so glad because I love it!

Great job Iasbelle !!!

Hello strawberry season!

Strawberries anyone!
This past weekend Chris and I took the girls Strawberry picking!
It is one of the things I look forward to the most.
I don't know what it is but I just can't wait for the annual treck to the strawberry patch!
Maybe it's that it's one of those things I love because it's the start of a new season,
or maybe it's that it is peaceful and calming,
or maybe because nothing tastes like a fresh picked strawberry that has been soaking up the sun!No matter what it is that I love so much about it,
I hope there is something the girls always love about too.
And I hope someday they will take there childern strawberry picking
and remember the fun times we had when they were little!

Memorial weekend

This memorial weekend we went to Chincotique Island for 3 days! The weather was great and the girls actually went in the water(as I watched from a safe distance)! We really had a nice time, riding bikes, oohing and ahhhing at the new baby horses, looking for shells and going to the beach.

Both of my girls love the water, and so do I when it isn't like fresh spring water!
Chloe brought a friend(Val) along for the first time, and it really worked out nice! My mom and dad were there along with my nephew Reece.

Here is Chloe covered in sand.
ahhh...
to be a kid again!

Here is Belle wondering why I am not going in the water...

and here is one of the baby ponies that were everywhere!
We had a great time and can't wait to go back next month!
