Mt Gretna

Every summer I try to plan one adventure a week while Chloe is home for vacation.
The plan isn't always big, it could be picking berries or going to get ice cream somewhere different.
This week it was going to lunch at Mt Gretna.
It is so pretty here.
It's a little artsy town in the woods with cottages tucked away here and there.
It almost seems like you stepped back in time kinda like in the movie
"Dirty Dancing"
As we were eating lunch there, while I am trying to answer Belle's 100,000,000th question about ice cream my whole wallet falls upside down and all of my credit cards and every other type of card I have falls through the cracks in the wood.
Hello frustrated:(
But it was really no big deal the guy had to go get them out.
He said that it happens all the time, and people have lot many a diamond ring in there.
And I thought...Who takes off their diamond ring at lunch, outside, on a porch?
Anyway, fun day at Mt. Gretna!

Chloe is now officially a TEEN!

I can't believe it my baby is now a teen!
Where did the time go?
Does anybody know, because I sure don't!
Chloe is a dream.
She is sweet.
She is kind.
She is funny.
She is super smart.
She is thoughtful.
She is talented.
She is loving.
She is the best kid anyone could ask for.
And she is mine!
Happy Birthday to my beautful girl!

July forth parade

This is Belle and I at the July forth parade in our town. I wasn't sure we were going to make it this year because Belle is affair of the drums. She really doesn't like loud noises, I think it bothers her ears.
But once she saw all of the people parking on our street there was no way she was going to miss it!
Chloe was in the parade again this year, but I couldn't get her picture because she went by so fast!
After the parade we went swimming,it was a nice day:)

Vacation 2010!

We just got back from vacation, and yes I am still alive! Don't get me wrong, I love vacation as much as the next but sometimes it can be a little tiring. We went to Chincotique Island again this year. And yes we saw the ponies, went on bike rides, went to the beach, and went to the coffee shop on main street.
O.K., next year we need to try somewhere different!
Chincotique is no Disney World or Atlantis,
their little oval stickers that you put on the back of your car to brag where you have been has a mosquito on it.
I'm not kidding...
They warn you on your way in that they spray for mosquito's in low flying air craft and some crazy "mosquito truck" goes flying down the street and you and the children run for cover!

But I do have to say one thing about Chincotique Island, the beaches are beautiful! The water is clear and warm. The sand is just right between your toes. And if you are up for you can ride your bike to the secret beach where only bikers can go. And for that, we are always one of the only groups of people as far as you can see.

The ride home is a little sticky, but it is worth it!

We always have a great time and can't wait to get back...
